Message from the President of the French Republic to Sir. Frederick Nathaniel BALLENTYNE Governor General of Saint-Vincent-and-the-Grenadines.
Dear Governor General,
On the occasion of the thirty-seventh anniversary of the independence of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, I wish to express, on my behalf and on behalf of my fellow citizens, my warmest congratulations
I am pleased that your country is one of the first in the world to ratify the Paris Agreement, on June 29, 2016. Your involvement in this matter demonstrates a shared commitment in the fight of our countries against the effects of global warming.
With its strong sense of Caribbean identity and committed to the integration of its overseas communities in their regional environment, France intends to develop its cooperation with the states of the Lesser Antilles. I wish to thank Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for the support given to the accession process of Guadeloupe and Saint Martin to the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States.
Please accept, your Excellency, the assurance of my highest consideration
(Signed): François HOLLANDE
His Excellency Sir Frederick Nathaniel BALLENTYNE
