Addressing a branch meeting in the rural constituency last night, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart expressed confidence that the ruling party would claim the seat in the next general election, which is constitutionally due in 2018.

Teenage girls raped in Castries

Two teenage girls are reported to have been raped in Castries on Friday evening. According to interviews conducted by DBS Television, four teenagers – two males and two females were heading home after an evening of Jazz, when they were attacked by three men, one of whom was toting a gun.
