On August 31, the government of St. Kitts and Nevis signed the agreement with the Government of the United States of America to implement the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). Enacted by the U.S. Congress in 2010, FATCA targets non-compliance by U.S. taxpayers using foreign accounts.

On Tuesday 1 September 2015, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, received a visit from high-level French delegation including the Ambassador of the French Republic, Eric De La Moussaye (based in St. Lucia), Serge Letchimy, President of the Regional Council of Martinique, Laurent Prévost, Prefect of Martinique, and the Director General of Technical Services.
